Location: English Channel

Date Uploaded: Jul 29, 2007

I had some street ones but couldn't make my mind up and this was one I liked for an undefinable reason.

Taken candidly of a family doing the 'Titanic' thing reflected in a window on a Sea France ferry.
---

I hoped that the wording "... street photography techniques..." would carry far in tems of voting, but I expected otherwise.

Thanks muchly for the appreciation and I'm glad this was liked as much as it seems it is. It's always worth more than a win.
---

PS. thanks for the ghost ribbon! Alex's shot is well deserving, mind.

very interesting with a lot of layers. The colouring really makes that work well too, with the comp colours spliting those layers

packed with action. What a wonderful assortment of lives you've gathered. The dark ghost was especially hard to discover. What makes this even more of a joy to look at is the churning water that surrounds everyone. There are at least 5 layers. fantastic.

Interesting composition, but the reflections seem to make it too busy of an image.

I contain multitudes. This is a photograph Walt Whitman would take. It is truly astounding. For taking a picture that I cannot understand or conceive, I can only give you the Posthumous Blue Ribbon. It is my only recourse!

very cool reflections, it makes it look like you are on a ship and not somewhere by a street ;P

Nice capture - Very well spotted I love it. I know it's not too street like but it's still a wonderful capture and well seen and executed. Love the subtle tones and warm colours - Fab job who ever you are!

I find the reflection or double exposure to be very distracting.

Interesting composition. But with all the reflections I can't really tell what's going on, or what the main subject is supposed to be. Is this on a boat or in a restaurant or through the window of a shop?
