 Day 2 of 30 Flowers

I noticed these when I was at the animal shelter this morning in between taking pictures of dogs. I thought nothing ate marigolds but this is clearly half a flower, so someone must like them.

PP - rotated, cropped, increased saturation and contrast, cloned out a bug wing on the primary flower, added border, resized, sharpened

Pretty Orange colors. Could it have been a kid "chopping" with a stick or someting instead of something eating it? That's a little boy thing to do as I've caught my son in the act before.

This is very good. I love the way the orange is complemented by the background and the soft focus makes it kind of like a dream.

You've caught the color perfectly! I adore marigold...have tons of them around, and I have found yucky little earwigs munching away on a couple of them...hunger little buggers.

Marigolds have such a deep wonderful color as you have gotten here. The contrast with the green is lovely as is the flower in the background.
