Nightshade is such a beautiful and wicked weed at the same time, isn't it? Like your composition it really works wonderfully.

Great focus and composition. This is nice. How about just relocating it to somewhere the dogs can't get to it? Front yard?

 lovely image!

there was a medicine puzzler in the NYTimes a few months ago, turns out the woman had been working in her garden, then made a salad, I don't recall all the details, but she inadvertantly ingested some of this plant, and nearly died...it took some time before they were able to figure it out. yikes~get rid of it!! Save this picture it's much safer :) |

So that's what they're called! Do these get bright red berries in the Fall? I've been trying to figure out what these are. Love this take, it's very clear.

I wonder if this plant is using the Golden Mean, it looks mathematical, & the purple & yellow is lovely. Nice shot!

Belladonna or Deadly Nightshade. Called belladonna because ladies used to place drops into their eyes in order to dilate their pupils, thereby looking sad-eyed and lovely. The active ingredient is atropine and it is in large doses poisonous if swallowed.
