I wanted to make it look like the red grape is an imposter amongst the whites. Mission accomplished. I had a difficult time metering for the color differences and shot close to 200 shots looking for the perfect one. The grapes were placed in a stainless steel strainer, with napkins around them to soften the reflections. A napkin was placed on my vivitar 285hv which I bounced on an angle off the ceiling.

nice shot :) I would love to have seen this photo from a not so close perspective to add some more sense of depth to the image :) - jmsetzler

i thisk the composition would have been a little better if the red grape had not been so far to the left, just seems a bit close to the ede of the photo IMHO

Nice photo, interesting idea. Here's a typical example of a comment I get. You should have gotten a stem going into the red grape to fully integrate it into the group. Seriously, that's about the only thing I would suggest to improve this shot. It's wonderful. 9 Swash

Why didn't you put the red one in a ule of thirds place. Why is he way off in the corner.

Nice strong colors, maybe the red grape could have been buried a little in the background of the bunch.
