Taking a candid shot was much harder than I thought. I found it to be very challenging to get the courage up to photograph complete strangers and even harder to do it in a way that they didn't notice me. But here it is...I took this shot from pretty far away so I apologize in advance for the grain.

Spectacular photo! The darker foreground tree and the lighter background tree give the photo so much additional feeling. This picture leaves makes me introspective like the subject appears to be. There seems to be a story behind this and I find myself wanting to know more. Black and white was a great choice.

Very nice. The trees in the background look like a painint. Inpressionist. Mood captured. Job well done. 7, just-married

this photo is very serene. too bad you can't see a bit of the man's expression,,but if would be difficult to keep the scenic background too then.

Dark, even for black & white, I see no details of the man's face. 6 Swash

Good atmosphere, nice composition. I fail to see the emotion in the picture.

Just plain good photography. It works very well in B&W. ¿How is it in color? I'm curious. One of my few choices this week.

Nice shot. I enjoy the image for its composition and its lighting.

I love the mood in this photo. It's a little bit busy, but the texturing of the leaves is very nice, and the scale of the man with respect to the trees adds to the mood, so perhaps this is the best framing for it after all. Nice black and white.

Overall a nice picture. It might just be me, but the picture seems a bit blurry. I know it was a touch assignment for many including myself.

mood captured - contemplation
sincerity of expression - good

I like this shot a lot, and give it a 7... my only suggestion would be that the tree appears to be growing out of his head a little bit.

Lovely shot. I love the b&w and the soft focus. I like the composition and the fact that you did not do a close-up for this shot. The distance of the subject lends to a feeling of solitude. Very nice. lhall-

This is a nice moment. Has emotion. I would like to see this in color afterwards if you have it. The shadows are a bit muddy, but I like it.
