| I think this might have had a higher visual impact if the head of the kite wasn't cut off. It definately depicts an element of childhood, and the lighting and focus are great. The framing could be better. Good luck in the challenge. |

| very nice image of childhood :) I like the way this kite is not completely contained within the frame.. that adds an interesting element of curiosity :) The camera tilt also makes a nice bit of interest here too... good shot :) - jmsetzler |

| This is a great shot; it gets the thought process going… Assuming you can't fly, I'd say that the wonderful sense of altitude is coming from the use of a clever camera angle. The overcast sky helps the effect - as does the beach and the horizon… Great effort (10) |

| The idea is nice, the kite has nice colors ... it was probably not an easy shot at all ....but I think the framing could have been better. Even if the 'bird' does not have to be fully in the picture, I do think the head is missing. 5 |

I like this idea and especially the angle to the horizon. But the fact that the top of the kite is missing just leads my eyes straight out of the frame. I think if this had included the bird head, I would have scored it a 7.

| Great idea !! Kites were one of the first things that came to mind when I saw the challenge! I find the odd angle of the "horizon" to be very disconcerting. I almost think I would have like the shot better if the entire background was sky. lhall |
