I like the warm feeling the filter gives this shot. I can imagine a lovely fire crackling just out of camera range with one of the furs wraped around me. |

Definitely should have left the warming filter off. What were you thinking? There are no whites in this picture - there is no reason for the lack of them. Learn to use your equipment and you will be a better photographer. |

this picture is crisp and clear, but the yellow overcast is a bit severe. |

The title need not be so explanatory, but the shot is nice. It is a tad contrived because of the obvious placement of items in the immediate forefront. I also might like a more uniform color scheme. The red beads look too much like seedless red grapes. The rest of the shot is so pleasingly sepia toned. And what the heck are you doing with all those traps? |

An interesting subject. Lots of nice textures and colors. The lighting is a bit flat and pink. Color correction in the camera of processsing should help. Light coming at an angle will help bring out textures. |

Technical: Fits the challenge. Exposure composition focus lighting all good- this is a nice shot to look at!
Personal: Creative idea, well executed. What are the two metal objects?

To be historically picky - are the fox and rabbit traps relevant to the period you are depicting? otherwise.: nice warm lighting , good focus. good unique take on the challenge. |

oo nice, but imnto sure, where did they use beads and furs for money while already being able to craft objects out of steel ( or whatever that thingie is..) ?
but its a really awesome composition! (= |

Mountain Men/HBCand the Rendezvous are my favorite things in history. I have read 100's maybe thousands of books on the trappers of the old west. This shot really makes me excited for their way of life. I think they were the bravest of all. Love seeing these items in your shot. The lighting is super. I hope this does well. |

Good lighting and interesting items. Composition seems balanced, but it might have been stronger without the centered approach. |

Excellent picture, nicely meeting the challenge. Warm and nice feeling to it. Soft and pleasant focus. I like the gentle glowing on the beads. Makes me feel that the whole is not lighten by anything else but a fire in a fireplace. 10 from me and good luck with it. |
