Again, the paper mill. And the train that hauls coal and woodchips. I liked the bright yellow. Stoopid trees.

If, during the floods I mentioned on day 3, I was standing where I was standing when I took this picture, I would be under several feet of water. Also, the train that is visible would be under water (yeah, technically pushed off the tracks).

Anyway. The papermill is not the *only* thing in Canton, but it is the biggest. I'm thinking one or two more shots of it, then, I'm going to expand and show you a bit more of the area I live!

I like the way the yellow in the train pops out.

Stoopid Trees...actually I dont find them distracting at all. The subject is nice and clear, vibrantly colored and the image is sharp through the entire DOF which makes the branches less obstructive. Great job!

I like the color the train adds to the overall picture. And I personally like the trees in the shot.

Ok, I'm sensing an addiction OR are you imprisoned near the paper mill - GRIN?

I like it, the yellow of the train is fab!

I'm glad it's dry now. It's a busy picture, but very well done. Were the trains stopped?

I am loving these industrial photos of Canton's pride and joy. And your photos have illustrated the industrial feel in so many versatile ways! I love all the color in this one. And the barren trees just give it a wintery look. Really awesome!

You sure caught the idustrial feel of the scene and made it a lot more interesting with the pop of yellow too. Nice job.

Nice contrast between the yellow and blue of the two engines. With the f/1.8 available on your lens you might want to consider using a very shallow DOF to emphasize the two engines and remove the competing distractions of the foreground branches and busy background by reducing them to a blur.

I like that you waited for the train to brighten up what would have been a rather drab scene.
When I was a teenager, my friends an I would play in the wood chip cars at a sawmill where the father of one of my pals worked. It was the last active sawmill of any size in this area of Florida. Thanks for the reminder of happy times.
I wonder how much effect the flood had on the mill there?

Nice photo, good colours and I like the way you framed it with the trees. That must have been some flood!
