 This is the historical Colonial Theatre in downtown Canton, NC. It was originally built in 1932, and was completely remodeled in the summer (?) of 2004. Then, in September of 2004, Hurricanes Francis and Ivan caused severe flooding. The water was up to the top of the doors of the Colonial.

So, they remodeled it again, and it reopened about 9 months ago. I've chosen this composition because if you look in the right hand window pane, you can see Blue Ridge Paper mill in the reflection.

I would have like to have taken more time taking the shot, but I was sitting at a red light with a car behind me, and basically had to point and shoot and hope I got something. :/

Laugh. Great last bit of your story! Thanks for sharing the history. Unlike the challenges, it's so nice to get the chance to learn more about the pictures, so we get a story instead of just an image.

Good snapshot. I do that sort of thing too, with the camera on the seat and ready when I am driving. Interesting history about the place too.

That is pretty cool with the reflection of the paper mill on one side and all the trees on the other (maybe even your reflection taking the picture) :o)
