 Another shot of the Papermill in Canton, NC. This time we are about half way up a mountain, about a mile away (as the crow flies). The weather was vastly different today.

The cold weather caused there to be more steam. Also, based upon how the smoke is blowing, to the left and low, we should be getting snow or rain in the next day or so. ;)

Okay, this shot got me to finally go look up Canton. Seeing you're between Asheville and Smoky Mtn Nat'l Park told me all I need to know. :)

Where you live must be beautiful during parts of the year. Was it actually this dark when you shot this image? Paper mills have a distinctive aroma all their own, as do the citrus juice plants in this area. I wish you fair winds blowing toward the mill from your home.

snow or rain, not a great forecast for wanting to take pictures...it's funny though, paper mills, their smell, and the way their smoke blows. Sometimes they're more predictable than meteorologists!
