I'm not one for abstract-ish photos, but this was done very nicely. with the yellow, in addition to the shiny "ferrules" makes it look kind of like an actual sunburst. The lighting is good. Bright enough to see what you are looking at, but dark enough to not overwhelm the photo with reflection and glare. Definately creative. Good luck in the challenge.

Weird and intriguing with interesting shapes and light and colours. Very pixelated.

As you may know, I particularly like this concept... This image has lost some 'crispness' somewhere... the pixellation is farily dominant in this image. This could have possibly resulted from enlarging a cropped segement of the photo. The concept here is very strong but the clarity needs a little work probably :) You may want to take a look at resampling the photo if you need to enlarge rather than resizing... good shot :) - jmsetzler

Lovely effect--interesting patterns--pixellation adds to the abstract picture---andrewm

I like the colors and the idea of synchronyous swimming pencils and this works well in the thumbnail. When I look at it in large size it gets very pixellated. I'm not an expert here but I think an unsharp mask might be helpful on this photo..

looks great as a thumbnail..but very blurry on my screen.

Looked a little PC'd. Prefer creations in Cam not software. sorry if I am wrong.

I like the idea and compostion but its over compressed to were I can see the pixelation.

Horrible quality photo. Needs more resolution.

Very interesting effect. Makes it hard to comment on things like lighting and focus.... I like it though... 7

This is interesting and neat... I like the bloom effect you got. But I think it would be better with a higher resolution to eliminate the "digital" effect.

I have no idea what this is supposed to be. Whatever it is, digital artifacts are running rampant wth it. 3 -lennier

Pixelation apparent (might be a camera limitation) Good idea, though I'd consider a different background than black.

This image is very pixelated. Too bad too, I would have liked to have seen it.

your photo is horribly pixelated, i wonder whether that's due to excessive file compression (you are allowed up to 150k, you used only about 60k), or cropping out of a low res photo. anyway, that, together with it being blurry (through water, i know) makes it hard to look at. i do like the concept, just not too thrilled with the implementation. -- gr8photos (3)

Nothing seems to be in focus - foreground or background.

Very interesting image. I like it.

Wonderful effect. This is the first photo of a pencil so far this week that I might actually display as art. Well done.
