Water on grass, the right angle at the right time. Getting the right angle on the water creates the defraction rainbows, enhanced in the out of focus regions.

Great shot Gordon. Adding it to my favorites now. I gave this a 10 and thought it was a ribbon winner for sure.

Very unusual choice of subject - intriguingly done. Good composition and mesmerising effects of the refraction. [9]

Beautiful use of DOF and lighting to create the "abstract" background.

So delicate and beautiful. The shot is perfect. The frame detracts. This needs some just a delicate as the image is, imo
I'm back. The score is still the same 10. I'm rethinking the frame. Works good for an art print, so I guess it's right for this one. Wanted to let you know that you inspired me to try some like this. They aren't as nice!

I added this one to my wishlist. I don't know what it is but I hope would add it to my favourites. I really love the effect of the light on the weeds and the grass. I wish I will take a picture like that one day. I really hope this one will get the blue ribbon. I'm sure it would.

Beautiful, I like this picture! Have you tried it upside down? For some reason I keep thinking it also would look really good upside down (maybe not :)) ~10

Oh how lovely! I very much like this photo. I love the way it all works together with the water droplets and whatever is shimmering in the background. I do wish the other greenery that's unfocused in the back wasn't there at all, but still what a great image! Good color and I get a nice feeling of delicacy. Very well thoughtout and composed. 10.

Nice work.
I get the feeling I'am looking at another John Setzler shot with the sprayed glass trick?
