I love this. Great image!

I thought this shot deserved to do better than 42 out of 181. Frankly I think it's a better shot than mine was.

Very good photo! Nice subject, I don't even own a player for these "big black compact disks" ;-) Excellent DOF. The grain is ok, it makes the photo look even older. Also very nice how the lighting reflects in the furrows. One of my favourite photos this week.

Nice shot but too contrasty and too blurry for my personal tastes.

I like this picture. The graininess adds to the "old" effect.

The only two things I see which could have improved it (i.e., made it look older) would have been to use a 78 as the record being played and a less "hi-tech" cartridge on the tonearm. But those are niggly little things.

Good work!

This picture really creates a great feeling of age, witty title too…

Personally, I love the graininess and the way that the shallow depth of field draws my eye right to that highlight on the grooves of the record. Great photo.

But so hard to keep clean. May be a bit to the right would have brought the cartridge into a more balanced position.

Damn - I cant believe someone else thought of photographing a record! And on a suitably old looking player too. You've captured those grooves beautifully. Good use of DoF try and hide the fact that it's 'Ghostbusters' by Ray Parker Jr. <wink>

Well done! I like the use of DOF here. The angle and composition are very effective for this. I even like the graininess at the top. Good Work. 8

I wish it wasn't quite so grainy in the center. The sharpness of the grooves is good, though.

I remember those things! I like the grainyness of the photo and definitely helps to be in B&W (did you increase the ISO rating in camera for this shot?). Having the warped section of the LP in focus gets points in my book, definitely old. Good job.

I love this image. Nice composition. I like the graininess of it and the out of focus label. It looks like an old photo of an old record.

Something old. Use your photographic technique to emphasize the age of your subject.
Composition - quite good
Technical Aspects - quite good. I'd preferred a larger DOF
Meets Challenge - yes
Visual Impact / Originality - quite good

Love the photo, not so keen on the title. What I like the most is your use of light and dof. One of my favorites this week.
