Very cool--I'll have to read up on tone mapping. I love how painterly the bottom portion looks. I also like the composition. But one minor crit: I am not as sure I like the effect on the darker clouds and proximate sky!

This is an awesome photo!
When you have ingredients like Water, Boats, Fall Colors, Dramatic sky and the Sun's warm colors, it only follows that scenes like this exist for the appreciative eyes of those whose presence is part of this exquisite grandeur!

| High pixel unsharp mask appears to have been used here and the unnatural cast of shadow it makes around bright spots in clouds I find distracting. From the trees on downwards, it is a nice shot: I am especially fond of the grass ad the wooden pier as lit by the warm morning light. |

| "The HDR effect" immediately springs to mind. "Try to think beyond the effect" says another part of the mind. It's unreal. It's lovely, but unreal. The composition is nice regardless of the effect. I think I like it. 9. - back again: make that a 10. |
