I own guns. Handguns, shotguns, rifles, antique military weapons.

I find it ironic that so many tragedies occur and well intentioned people are so shocked when a child shoots another with a weapon bought to protect them.

Education is the key to safety, not "hiding" it under the mattress.

I like the Smoking Gun effect

Lightings not too bad, wou'dve been better if there wasn't a shadow on the paper below, and the back be slightly more out of focus. Photo needs the title to see the irony in it, which loses a few points from me, also I'm not sure what it is, but the edge of the gun is much whiter on the page below, which adds too much contrast to the edge. I like the slight smoke comming from it aswell. a subtle adition and does the image well. --7

Good concept, and a well thought out shot. I think it needs tighter cropping - all that black at the top doesn't really add anything.

Good capture, I like the detail, B/W is great.

Well, may be we can call that "black irony" but I like this one.

Unfortunate, but true

Get your sense of humor in order and show us a bit of irony.

Now is this funny, haha? or just morbidly ironic?

Technically, I don't like the blurry newspaper, you used too much usm, and there are no details in the gun. It is ironic that such things happen so I will give you a 6

i might have focused on the print rather than the gun for this one.

Ya an irony of not letting the child know about the dangers of guns at a younger age.

Ironic for sure! I think you could have cropped out some of the negative space at the top of the image and maybe included more of the newspaper clipping and the gun.

This one truley captures the theme. A slightly distracting shadow on the bottom text, but the smoking barrel more than made up for it. I'd be interested to know what you did to simulate the smoking barrel. spent match?

More sad than ironic. As for the picture, the gun is very dark, maybe a bit more light and contrast would have worked for me.

not bad - but taking a photo of text is a cop-out - you should say what you want to say with the photo

Ironic and terrible.
