| At first I thougt this was a message about double-suicide (killing yourself twice)...but after a moment I decided the irony was all these medications we take to improve our health, to feel better, to stay alive, etc. but then we kill ourselves with self-destructive behavior. I really love the title! It grabbed my attention and it was very unusual for a photo like this. Nice contrasts, color, theme. This is one of my favorites! 10! |

Playful, humorous entry, apparently arranged to appeal to the cretin and one tuned to a finer sense. ;-)
The dolphins, particularly as a title, is precisely the kind of ironic filigree which, IMHO, renders the bulk of competing entries irrelevant.
A technically impeccable photo charged with an extreme and unusual topical attention. |

| The symbolism is a little too subtle. Self destruction should be pitted against self healing, especially since the image is so intense. But, that is just my opinion. The photo quality is one of the best in the challenge so far. |

great shot - and representation of the category...how many people do stupid things like this?!? take pills to be healthy...and then smoke of all things! ....or order a big mac, large fries....and a diet coke! =`)
nice work - the shot is framed well. I might have allowed more smoke in the frame to emphasize the cigarrette more maybe but thats just a minor observation. cool shot. |

| because wearing a dolphin ring means shes kind of new age-y and into a clean environment, yet smakes and takes pharmacuuticals, is that the irony? Bit of a stretch. This is s agood photo, well composed, nicely lite. |

I don't think I really get the title and how it fits to the photo, I'm probably just dumb and don't catch it or maybe it is some kind of slang from where you are from. Maybe you could tell me perhaps. But I will take your word for it that it means something ironic and score you on the quality of your pic only okay.
The quality is very good, the lighting seems spot on and the composition is great. It must have been difficult to keep up this pose, I see that the cigarette is burning down, so I guess you took a lot of shots at it. Actually the way the cigarette is burnt down like that gives this image more impact. The black background is also effective, highlighting the hand more. However I see some irregularities in the background on my monitor. There is some kind of blotch on the right exactly at the middle. |
