A very close up shot of a current drawing that I am working on. I thought it would be interesting to emphasize the texture in an area of the drawing by using a very shallow depth of field.

I think the fact that the picture is out of focus in the foreground emphasizes that this is a photograph of a drawing. If it were all in focus it would have looked like a photo of a pencil superimposed on a drawing. The slight blurriness gives it depth. Nice.

Nice image. A liitle more detail(but not much) in the pencil would have helped. Good detail in the sketch. Good angle.

A better sharpness range would make this a 10 for me.

Fantastic details. Made me actually stop and look at it. Very nice and orginal take on this challenge. Well done.

Escher-esque!

Great interpretation, pencil portrate, and dof. Good job...

Wonderful photo. I love the contrast between the sharpness of the pencil and the garinyness of the sketch. I'll be surprised if this doesn;t come in the top few, hopfully a ribbon.

The texture is just great.

Magnificant! Lighting, composition and texture all outstanding! Great contrast between the art and the pencil...really makes this happen! A solid 10!

Very beautiful image. I'm not sure why I like it, but you get a 10. Good luck

Eh. I don't like the dof on this one. It's close up for sure, but I would like everything to be clear and focused.

like the idea behind this shot...love to see the entire drawing

Nice photo, nice drawing. You seem to be talented in many areas ;)

I like this. I would of liked better light on the pencil, it appears a bit harsh and causes a glare. Sounds picky I know but being honest with my thoughts. The drawing is so good. Talented. I think this whole shot is very good and loved looking at it. Thanks for submitting.

Yeh this works for me, the eye is drawn to the pencil and then lead (no pun intended!) back to the drawing. this is good

Greetings... I love an integration of traditional art and photography. The 'traditional' arts are something that I wish I could do. I have no skill with my own hands when it comes to drawing, painting, or sculpting. I suppose this type of photograph makes me realize that even more. I can 'see' it but I can't move the thought to another medium with my hands... great shot :) = 10

Incredible artwork. Love the close-up. You can almost feel the surface on which the artwork was being rendered. Beautiful surface texture. Would have liked a little bit more lighting on the pencil.

would have been better if the whole thing was in focus methinks

great texture!
