Woooooot.. Brown ribbon. Completing the official and "semi-official" ribbon set.

Blue
Red
Yellow
Brown

I know "green" is sometimes considered "semi-official".. so maybe I do still have one more to shoot for.

I understand 1s, I am willing to understand 2s and 3s and 9s and 10s. But, 4s, 5s, 6s, 7s and 8s? No way!!! What was this photo lacking to be perfect 1 or 10? Which nuance was off that perfect mark?
This would be a great experiment on psychology, if only people would answer...

Looking at your title and your picture it sounds like you've set yourself for a challenge! Unfortunately, my LCD has a dead pixel which shows as a blue dot on the screen, especially on your black photo so I'm gonna have to raise it a point! ;)

Oh I dunno... it kinda does fit the challenge. But I can understand your frustration though :) So anyway, if I give you a 10 for this, will it stuff up your hopes for 2.xx?

Would've liked it better without the title. Can't get more subjectless than that! Black screen with no title. Creative!

Hmmm. Meets theme- definataly.
Can't say it is out of focus.
Well exposed? The blacks were well captured and lighting is uniformly balanced. Nothing blown out.
Originality? Definately unlike any other entries.
Composition? Harder to judge. Small deduction on that, but perhaps I am being too picky there. 9.

No brown this time, sorry. ;) You may actually win.
Yours is the only one I've seen without a subject.

Let me guess... Black cat at midnight?

lol, I had thought about doing the opposite, something in all white, and calling it "polar bear on white snow".

I like this. I see subjects all over the place, and it's refreshing to see this. 10. (I'm being serious).

Err. Well I guess it has no subject. 3.xx I think.

the composition is superb, and the use of black is impactful and in your face. The tonality is spot on for this image and the focus is great as well. You must have a great camera and lens combination to achieve this kind of result and the editing is first class...I am not sure about the black frame you used and the width of it at 320px, but the rest of the shot more than makes up for it...I think this might ribbon and I would be surprised if it doesn't...this is what this site is all about, photos like this that just make you sit back and go "WOW, now, that's what I call black..." I am looking forward to seeing more of your work in the future...good luck ;-)

There must be a problem with my computer, because not only do I not see a 'subject', but I don't see an 'image' either. 2.xx
