your wall is maybe a bit dirty?
- good idea, you could maybe spend some more time on your shooting?

I like it...

I like the concept but the wall looks a little dirty.

If the lighting was a bit softer, I'd rate it higher, otherwise great shot.

Fun and very modern/urban image. Speaks volumes of the priorities of their owner. Clever.

You are correct. A fellow Canadian who knows what's important in life. Thanks for the chuckles. Jacko. 9

Great concept. Shame about the distortion caused by your wide-angle lens, but as we're not allowed to apply correction in Photoshop, I'll ignore it. A bit less glare on the TV would have helped. The dirty white wall behind the telly is an effective touch. 8

I don't like that powe cord up against the wall. Otherwise good!

Good idea! I'd perhaps have pulled the teevee over to the left to let the cord draw us over to it, and I also might have adjusted the white balance a bit (a little grey) but it's a cool idea. Wall's a little dirty for it, too, but somehow suits the low-budge nature of the shot.

Nice image, nice use of negative space. I think the white noise on the screen is also a nice touch, gives a bit more feel to the shot.

This is one of the most clever shots of the challenge. Perfect use of negative space to emphasize your idea. I keep looking at that cable running across the floor and I can't decide whether I like it or if it would be better if it weren't there, but since it obviously had to be there to get the TV turned on, I reckon I like it just fine. I'm glad you left the "snow" on the screen rather than taking a picture of a football game or something. The blue screen adds the right amount of color to the otherwise dullness of the tones, again emphasizing your theme.

*laughs. Brilliant idea!

But maybe you could have eliminated the floor and that white lining thing [I have forgotten what it's called *rolls her eyes*] by raising the box and tele up with a stool or something so the background would just be the dirty wall.

However, only a suggestion. =)

PS> Instead of static, I was expecting soccer or rugby ;)

I have a feeling this will be overlooked by the 'artsy' folks, but this is one of the best I've seen this week. Definitely tells a story and that story is told largely by the negetive space. I hope this scores as well as it deserves, but frankly I think it will go over most folks head... Great work... ~10~

This is classic. what makes it even better, is that the TV is only static. Perfectly simple. The wall looks dirty, the floor looks dirty, and your beer box is makeshift furniture. This works well centered too. This is a hands down 10 in my book.
