Nikkor 24-85 @ 48mm. Large softbox from the front right and a very small bounce from behind. Inspired by Conan the Barbarian and Kavabanga. Tried to give it a kind of dirty feel to it, maybe it would have been better had I not shaved this morning. Did 300 push-ups before shooting :)

++++

THANK YOU!!!!! I never had so many comments in a challenge before, wow! Thank you all so much! It just makes it so much worthwhile staying on this site. Thank you, thank you!

Did I write 300 push ups? I think I mistyped a couple of zeros there :)

You wanted to write 30000? :-) How long did it take?

Cool one, Gary. I love the natural effect you reached with the lighting, really fits the barbarian. Another well deserved ribbon again, congrats!

He, he, this is good! Love the bracelets. I read somewhere that Roman soldiers were required to put on wet leather bracelets before going into battle - leather contracts when it dries, the soldiers were so desperate to get them off that they would win every battle. And that's how the Romans beat the Barbarians :))))) [10]
