Another wonderful image. Great contrast, the trees are just wonderful, and I love the slight highlight outlining the mans left side.

Composition and subject matter are just fantastic. I like the man's stance. Is he in bare feet? One of those pictures that can open up a lot of questions in your mind and keep the viewer engaged beyond just the beautiful image itself.

While the black and white gives this an old-world charm, I'd love to see this in colour. Excellent composition, well done.

This misty image blows me away, strong impact, with the figure and the bridge, against the misty forrest/mountains.....

It looks as if you used dodge&burne a bit too much. That's the only think I don't like about this image. The grain works very well here. Congrats on an excellent photograph. 10.

Too much USM if that wasn't it then whatever made this to look like a charcoal sketch is too much. Now if that was what you wanted and you liked it then there is nothing to say except it just isn't my taste. Not a bad image just not what I would enjoy. But don't worry I am not marking you really low, almost every picture in the challenge is at least a 5 or 6, this is higher but not my highest. Be well and good luck.

Perhaps it's partly the exotic (for me) cultural context that makes this image so appealing. The soft rendering of the background wooded hills effectively spotlights the bolder and more heavily contrasted treatment of man and bridge. His bare feet are interesting, as is his lordly pose and gaze. He appears to be outlined by a halo of light, which I suppose will attract many but might repel the processing police here. Maybe it makes him look a little like he's steaming. Maybe he is. 7.

I like this. Nice choice of B/W. However, I find it wanting something that I'm not sure how to express. Since it's B/W I'm inclined to wonder what the shot would look like if it were a close-up of subject. Something about the mountains doesn't pop. They are kind of grainy and flat looking and the subject seems to have a sort of halo. Still, one of the better entries IMO.

nice lines and curves here. A good choce for a BW study. I like the way the haziness really makes your subject stand out.

Great shot. I love it! The noise in the trees is great. The top line of trees is showing up a bit... oversharpened or overconrasted.

I like this shot, but I think it looks a bit overprocessed and lacks contrast in the background. He seems to be glowing. Also, I find it is almost always better to have the subject looking into the frame rather than out. I would leave more space on the left than right in this shot. The fence and the man are very interesting. Good subject choice.

great shot...i don't know about the choice of making it b&w...would have loved to see all the lush greens and wood and his clothe's colors.

I like this taste of culture photo. These types of photos have the ability to transport us to different places. There are two things that could improve the composition. First, the tones on this photo are too grey and flat -there needs to be more contrast. Next is that I think the photo composition would be better if you had composed the shot with the man on the far right of the frame so that we, the viewers, could 'visually' turn our heads in the same direction as he is to take in the view. This man is leaning back on the railing of the bridge looking at the view, but we don't really get the opportunity to 'look with him' because his viewing sight is only a small portion of the photo.
