My Wife and child. lots of crop, lots of shots ... lots of noise reduction and some effect use. Overly messed with but I think beautiful - tough to shoot because of low-light and moving baby.

A sweet shot, but it leaves me wanting more! But I guess that's not really a bad thing. This is a shot that you could just look at over and over again. It speaks volumes with a minimum of information. I find myself wanting to see more of the baby, but then again, that's probably what makes me keep looking at it. I like it.

I think this might have been over NI-ed. Good image though. 7

7 - Like this and the subtlety. Criticism; depending what you had to work with of course, but more of the baby's hand and a little sharper on it, a fraction softer on 'Mother's' face and an adjustment/softening of the skin (looks a little 'blotchy', but could be the toning), all likely make this even better in my opinion. I like the crop/framing, with the Mother's face in the top of the frame at this angle. The little hair showing through does add something, but I think a fraction more may have given a 'inner' framing effect to this, not sure though. The glare/reflection on the lipstick(?) slightly detracts, but minor - and obviously 'your call' on having Mother wearing lipstick anyway.

A mothers love is unconditional. I like the tones in this shot, but her skin looks too smooth and unreal to me.

One of the best. You caught, with shape, light. texture, and simplicity a mood that is difficult to capture.

Incredible. You know, if you had painted this in the 1400's, it would be considered a classic of church high-art today.
For today, it's simply beautiful. Excellent cropping, excellent framing, excellent positioning.
I give very few tens because I'm not really qualified to affect the curve like that, but this one gets it anyway.

Back for comments. I enjoyed this entry very much. The mother is the major element, unlike a lot of others, and you've presented a major part of motherhood very tastefully. Well done.

A great portrait. Slightly too much post-production for my taste. I tend to like the natural look. Great composition. 7

A stunning photo that is indeed reflective of motherhood. The tiny hand reaching up truly depicts the helplessness of the child and the critical need for a mother's attention.

This is one of the highest rating photographs I have seen in this challenge, and I wish you well.

This is very nice. The tip of the nose is really bothering me though, it keeps pulling my eye. A little healing brush would work wonders. Very nice shot.
