Hand-held camera without flash to maintain ambiance. However, this gamble turned my family's skin green. O, well, at least the occasion was right.

***Greetings from Critique Club***

After reading your comments, I see my original assumption that you were trying to make someone look like the Grinch was offf.

I can give ya a quick tip though. When shooting for ambience, you need to manually set your white balance.

I see you "resized to fit specs". Your image is a bit small. DPC allows the longest side to be 640 pixels at up to 150kb. There is a tuturial Here..

For handheld with low light, it seems you got the focus well and was able to stay away from motion blur. That takes a steady hand, so good work there.

Don't let the low score get ya down. I can see potential here. Keep the challenge entries coming. Hope to see more work from you.

Take care,
Leroy

Yep, really is....need a bit of white balance.

I wish this had been larger, closer to the maximum of 640 pixels allowed by the rules. The little girl looks blurry, but I do like the star shapes cast by the lights in the background.

I am not sure how this photo represents oops. I am assuming from the size of the photo, that you are relatively new here. My tip for future challenges would be to try and make your photos longest side at least 600 pixles long (640 is max). The photo is also very blury. Perhaps try putting the camera on something during night exposures to stablize it a little or if its dark, use a flash.

This picture is a little small to appreciate the effect you are after.

It's way too small to see fine details. What I like is the background -- nice combination of leafs (?) and lights. Speaking of lights, I like the effect of the tight aparture.

Image is too small to see -- please make use of 640 pixel maximum dimension. Not sure how this meets the "Oops" topic description.

Not sure where to start on this one. It's too small. It looks out of focus. What does it have to do with the challenge? 1
