Challenge: Oops! II (Basic Editing III)

I think it's self-explanatory and I really hope it will be self-realizing - brown ribbon under the xmas-tree. The aim was to get the famous brown ribbon with my first submission ever.
Several 'oops' happened during preparations and shots. First, I did not found a proper brown paper so I took an uncolored cardboard for the ribbon. Then I forgot to bring the shape of the original ribbon (There's no net where the shot was taken) so I had to chose and cut a totally different one. Later, it turned out that I have no opportunity to take my shots at night as I planned, I had to do it in ten minutes before leaving in hurry. During PP I was not able to produce a recognizable brown.
But here it is, let's see how low it gets.
Post-process (remember I wanted something totally wrong):
- resize to pretty small (in order to avoid losing imperfections of later steps)
- solid Gaussian blur (defocus)
- several SharpenMores (to oversharpen)
- heavy USM (to widen oversharpened areas)
- Curves and Levels (to hide details in bright and dark areas)
- slight Rotate (to get false vertical lines, cut triangles)
- expanded canvas (to get a so wide brown border)
- saved for web with quality of 50% (to get compression artifacts)

Had fun with it but it was not that easy to provide a bad photo. Enjoy! ;-)

Well, yeah. One more, final 'Oops' -- no brown for this.
I was afraid of those two submissions and I was right, I was beaten in this run of mine for really bad quality.
All those took this joke a little more seriously: sorry, I know it feels bad to vote low. Thank you all.

Small image of low quality. Boarder distracts too much.

For me, this doesn't fit into this chalenge and the gold/brown border detracts, not enhances the photo. It took my eyes a moment to recognize the shape of the cardboard as a DPC ribbon.

blurry and way too small.

Far too many elements in the image...confusing/ focus/ border does nothing to enhance to image and the border color does not match anything in the image and becomes distracting.

I keep looking, but I'm don't understand this. Also, I'm sure you've received comments telling you that the quickest way to raise your score is to increase the size of your image. Good luck!

Border is distracting. Focus seems very soft.

Blurry and took me a min to figure out what it was.
