OK, this is boring... I get to critique the winning pic and one of my tops in the challenge. Tough job when you find a photo technically flawless!!!!
Lemme try..... hmmmmmmmmmmmmm....
THEME: Respected!
COLOR & LIGHING: You got your w/b spot on which makes your skin tones as they should be. Your lighting is soft and creates a wonderful mood.... tranquil.
FOCUS: nothin' to say... spot on!
COMPOSITION: ok, so this is the part where I rip your photo apart right?? Hmmmmm..... you know, I don't know what I could have done better IMO. Having the child with eyes closed focuses on the sense of hearing. The hand on the belly shows caring and gentleness not to mention the slight smile. All these creating the perfect mood for the shot.
Having kept some negative space on the right showing the arch in the back give depth to the belly and continues to add softness and balance throughout the photo.
This is an inspiring shot!!!

| I probably would not have thought of sound without the title, although maybe after giving it a while. It's a well-composed photo but it doesn't grab me in terms of the topic. Highlights on the skin maybe a bit too bright? Hard to tell how much of that is skin tone. |

| This is absolutely beautiful... can you actually hear heartbeats through the stomach? Wow... this is one touching photo... If this is your family then I would definitely get this picture printed and also congrats on an upcoming new child! I really think this is beautifully done! I like the lighting...
