Dried up allium in my neighbor's garden. Placed black construction paper behind it and shot on an overcast afternoon.

In PS: Cropped, Resized, Levels, Curves, Brightness/Contrast, Hue, Curves with Selective Coloring & Dodging, Gradient Map with master opacity change, Gradient Map (B&W) with opacity change, bordered, Channel Mixer conversion to monochrome with opacity change with Neat Image somewhere in the mix.

This plant is an allium gone to seed. I loved the texture of this plant and couldn't wait to get my hands on photographing it!

Amazing detail and no clutter. I love the composition, with the exact half of the flower on the left, and everything else radiating to the right. Curious about what kind of plant this is now.

The lines and the stuff at the end of the lines have great impact, love the soft mood (aperture choice).

Wow - now that's a macro! :-) Beautiful focus, DOF, and tones. Not crazy about the border, but that's small potatos with an image this good.
