I love this shot. The smallness of the leaf is a very good fit with the title, and the halo of light behind it accentuates it.

Thanks to everyone that voted. I was surprised that the shot didn't do better, but many of the shots I liked were down in the upper middle of the pack. Thanks for the comments and suggestions, I am trying learn and any feedback helps :)

I like what you are going for here but with all of the brightly blurred background, the clear small leaf gets kind of lost in the shuffle. I'd like to see it better against a more subdued background perhaps. I think the impact would work if the background were solid white or black.

Oh my gosh!!! I can't believe this didn't do better...this is my absolute favorite out of all the photos!!!

Looking at the thumbnail I thought.... Gee, I'm gonna hate this... then I saw the leaf. I really like this. Very creative. I just wish the leaf was a little sharper. Overall, good capture

Title meets challenge well and the concept of the shot is great with a frree floating object being the only thing in focus. I think it would have been even better if the leaf was bigger in the shot but maybe not. Good pic.

I like the softness of the background, but I find the large dark area on the left a bit distracting. The title fits well and good concept.

Whoa! Great background, with such a sharp leaf - top marks, but it's a shame the leaf is so small. I'd have taken it slightly more out of centre, perhaps cropping the top & left off.

This is poetic. I would much prefer the lttle leaf to be away from the center, but the effect of the shallow DoF and the backlight is very good.
