My grandfather is a bit of a character. 85 years old and hasn't lost an ounce of his sense of humour.

Needless to say they are my sunglasses.

Thanks for the votes, comments, and my highest score on DPC.

Tremendous image. You have captured very well the emotional payload this man carries. Lit perfectly to capture the character of his face.

great expression and everything, one of my favorites (I hope people wont care too much about missing "&"). The sporty sunglasses seem a bit inappropriate, but in the same time they make it more interesting, 9

Great capture. I love the contrast and the expression. I've been a stickler for the rules on this one so point off for no "&" or "and" in title. - 8

Dramatic textures & tones. No way those are his glasses, they just don't fit him, but some how it still works. Good work.

Black & White was a good choice here. I like the expression. Very crisp. 7

I really like this picture. The negative space echoes the lenses well. The detail of wrinkles is great as well as his frown. A tiny bit overexposed on his forehead/scalp. Don't worry, I didn't knock you for not having an '&'. 8.

I love this shot. The man is older yet he has bolle sunglasses which makes me think he is kinda cool. I love his expression. Nice Sharp contrast. 9

Boy, you had your choice of titles for this one... Dark Lenses, Deep Lines, Dour Look, I could go on and on. Excellent photo by the way. I love the sharpness (but not over-sharpness), the contrast and tones, the composition and especially your subject. 10

Beautiful image. The disparity between the smooth, ultramodern glasses and the aged skin is great. The echo of the blacks in the background and the lenses works very well. the crop composition POV DOF and toning are excellent. I must give you a 10.

Great shot! This piece reminds me of the style of a DPCer in Romania or Turkey (I can't remember which) whose portfolio I reviewed recently. Her work (as is this) was outstanding. Very nice job - it has so much captured character. 9

The lens on the glasses looks too matte like you painted the black in rather than just darkened the lens and kept the reflective qualities of the glass I still like the mans face tho.
