OMG I love this shot! I'm saddened because it surely deserves higher. Well done! :)

Just rediscovered this one. I'm really surprised this didn't do better. It was one of my high picks. Simply excellent sense of composition here, magnificent depth, terrifically moody shot.

I knew it, this is awesome. I love the burning around the edges

Indeed deserved higher, I think this shot is excellent! There's a lot to be read from the person in the back like he doesn't like the rain! (maybe even boredom due to a rainy day?). Keep up the good work!

I still stand by my first comment. This is really interesting and different. Nice choice of subject matter!

Interseting set of reactions to this shot J: thought it deserved a higher placing than this, although that burn ...

i like the darkness, and the scene itself is rather curious. it was a 10 for me.

Ah, I wish I had just a fraction of the talent that is in this shot - composition, focus, color, mood, ... it's very, very nice. Thanks for entering this.

for some reason this image really hits me, and I really hope you do well. I like the slight green tint to the whole thing, and I also like the grain in the shadows. I don't really care for the crop, but thats just my opinion. Bumped up.

i really like the composition and mood. i think you're on the right track as far as the dodging/burning, but it could use a little more work.

Such a dynamic compostion...I really like the depth and "drama" of this image...very nice.

Interesting, dirty image - love the feel of it, very expressive. The areas you appear to have darkened seems a brutal effect - perhaps a touch heavy--handed? Not enough feathering? Nothing else in frame seems to go quite a black as those areas ... and the overlap with the umbrella makes it plainly editing. Outside of that reservation though, a much more intriguing image than most

Hmmm... a bit too much burn for my taste. I like the concept of the image but the colors just aren't as appealing IMHO.

Good composition and use of duotone, but blending of the dark umbrella panels and the dark background bothers me (and no, it's not my monitor, it's calibrated)

this looks verry good but that black part of it is weird and I don't understand it's purpose other than to hide something. I think a 3x2 crop at the top even if you only keep half the umbrella would be much better.

Good compostion. I like how the umbrella is up in foreground.

An interesting and effective composition, also a little weird and quirky (which I like very much). 7

Great perspective, toning and subject matter. Hard vignetting works well, but it is strange that only three corners are covered by this. 8

Beautiful image and nicely toned. The figure in the back is a nice touch and well composed. I do think the halo effect, especially around the bottom, is a bit overdone.

I'm gonna say this is Jason's... if i'm wrong... well then that's just humiliating. Great shot nonetheless (even if you aren't jason) --- great tones and great dodging and burning.

Very cool. Love the rich darkness. The contrast on the umbrella and the guy's hat and clothes is nice. Interesting perspective makes you take a second look.
