Oh no. . . you could never regret this. . .it's awesome! I think the score of the commenters is more deserving of this photo, but still a great finish :)

Very emotive shot. I would NEVER leave one of my books out like this, so it makes me wonder what book it is, and why it's there, and then a whole mess of other questions! Love the idea, the B&W, the presentation. I'd recommend a black border. Hope to see this on the winner's page! 10

Oh my, not a very good rain simulation, but oh well, good for you for getting the hose out and soaking a book. This is quite an unusual photo. I'm nearly finished scoring this challenge and I'm pretty sure that there won't be any other entries where someone has turned the hose on a book. I don't find anything interesting in this shot other than the intrigue of what would posess someone to come up with the idea of hosing down a book and calling it "Forgotten". It is for this reason alone I'm giving this shot a 10. Of course, if I suddenly hit several more entries of books being hosed down, I'll come back & adjust.

now how did you ever get rain trails that long? PP perhaps? IMHO the image is a tad too dark and it seems like you had to dodge the pages just a bit to bring out a bit of detail... 6

I love the b&w! The placement of the book with its wrinkled pages & the glasses just peaking behind it is just great! Very well done!

The sheeting rain almost looks like rays of light. I like the black and white used on the image. I am a reader, though, and I cringed when I saw the book left out in the rain. Still, the image is well rendered.

Interesting idea, I think a wider angle would suit the shot more. Don't really like the tilt, a more definite angle or level perhaps; the lightness on the pages is good.

Strongest part of the photo is how the light falls on the book, perfect. Even a little river in the middle of it. 7

In my opinion, this otherwise very nice photo suffers from the fact that the "rain" looks more like a hose with a sprinkler attachment.
