 This is a purple rhododendron (or Mountain laurel) and a orange azalea flower sitting on the laurel's leaf.

I saturated the colors some, and adjusted the color levels a little so that the laurel was more purple than magenta. Resized, unsharp mask, etc.

It is not as focused as I would like because the wind was especially fierce so the bush was blowing all over the place!

A fairly straightforward macro shot of a blossom. There's nothing that particularly excites me about it, but it's executed in a very technically-proficient way, so I have to give props for that. :-> Good color contrasts, dramatic lighting, good choice of focus. 8.

nice wow factor on this one for me. you really got the focus just right. was there a reason that you cut off the rest of the pistols or stamens or whatever they are? colors are nice here, and the photo is pleasing to the eye. 6

Nice image. Very good display of secondary colors. I think that maybe the image needs to be sharpened though.

great try, nice cropping and very easy on the eye. I would have given more points but the flower is a bit soft looking.
