Took a picture of three crosses in a local cemetery (they were not linear, but arranged in a strange triangle shape, which is why they look "off"), found a crown of thorns (imported from Israel, and boy did those suckers hurt!) and three farriers nails (couldn't find realistic spikes, so that is actually a macro of 1.5" nails). Put them together with layers, and adjusted the opacity of the two side pictures. Then, used the "mirror" (I think) function to make the blue be the background.

I know that to a lot of people religion is private. I do not wish to offend them. This picture was composed to express my personal views and beliefs. In effect, it tells a very real story about something that is important to me.

This is my first Critique Here, how lucky am I to be given this work. The blue of the backround Picture contrast's nicely against the wooden foreground.
composition is wonderful, and for the mood you are trying to set so is the lighting.I do agree that the blue is a tiny bit grainy but the main thing that grabs my attention away from the main theme (the crosses) is the lines on the images in the backround, too bad they are not blended in better unless part of the intention of this, is to have it look as if Photo's are in the backround.Whatever inspired you to do this I am glad it did, what a winner!

This would be really effective if there were less "noise" in the blue... GOOD THEME.
