Golden Gate bridge. I was fortunate to have the fog rolling into the horizon... Post processing: Convert to B/W, color-balance increase red and yellow, increase saturation, resize, flip horizontally, and USM.
I really like this picture, hope you folks like it too!

great pic would have been perfect without the people.
the fact that they are coming from the far end of the bridge kinda breaks the feeling of nothingness in that direction.
anyway congrats u deserved your ribbon.
This was actually taken from on the bridge... walking along the bridge towards Presidio, there's a lookout point at the base of the towers. This was shot from there, leaning outwards from the bridge. I actually would have liked more of an angle, but that would need me to be suspended over the water somehow :)...text
Thanks for the additional information. I know exactly where you took this now. Once again, great shot!! Seeing as how our foggy summer season is approaching, there should be more opportunities for fog shots of the bridge in the upcoming month and a half. Congrats!!!
I'm wondering how you managed to get this view. It looks like it was shot from land (somewhere off the bridge) using a long telephoto lens, but the photo info says you used an 18-55mm zoom. Is this a crop from a larger photo?

What a great image! Congratulations on another blue ribbon. Only the best for you, eh?

WOW! Excellent shot! Beautiful and unique for that bridge, I think. You have an incredible way of making ordinary things look extraordinary! Congratulations!
Congratulations on your blue. I knew this would win from the start! Great composition and overall eye for a subject that has been photographed a million times before.
Arpita: A truly awe inspiring image and three blues to speak highly of your outstanding efforts. Well, you have a new ardent fan here and I look forward to your future entries.
Wow, what a way to wake up in the morning! Thank you all for all the wonderful comments and the votes! It's been so much fun watching the score all week, but I certainly didn't except to end with such a high number...
I'm really delighted!
Great composition for vanishing point effect. It's precise, sharp , good contrast and colour toned beautifully, what else can I say ? Congratulations on your ribbon !
I think this is a potential ribbon. This is just an excellent photo. The color even gives a feeling of bronze, and the bridge appears to be floating on air. Absolutely lovely!
Oh this stuck out - oops I mean that in a good way - Welcome surprise after viewing metal photo after photo. Creative shot and unique. Like the tone and how it looks like it is suspended by . . .nothing or as it it leads to . . .infinity . . .eternity? Easy 10
My favorite image in this challenge. I just wish that serendipity had not captured that last tower. It would have maximized the fading off in the distance. Or, then again, maybe the composition requires it. A very evocative capture.
Congratulations on your third blue ribbon! Looks lovely in orange tones.
The way the sea, sky and ground merge seamlessly at the horizon is just awesome.
beautiful. it doesnt look like basic editation, as it is too surreal to be real, traces of clouds, vanishing point does vanish, light of course etc etc. if i were to find some con, i would not be sure about composition, but the picture is perfect anyway
Great shot. The sepia tone is fantastic. I love the detail and the way it reaches into the unknown. I was so taken by the bridge. I almost did not see the people.
i like the yellow cast you chose for this shot, and the angle where this was shot. the blur and softness at the far end of the bridge gives this picture a mysterious feel, where we guess as to where to bridge leads to. overall a very pleasing photo. this is the first photo i rated for this metal challenge and i cant believe i'm leaving a comment already. if all submissions are gonna be this good, i'm gonna have a hard time choosing my favourite, lol.I'm giving you a 9. would have been a 10 if the motorist and their heads didnt distract me so much.
