great pic would have been perfect without the people.
the fact that they are coming from the far end of the bridge kinda breaks the feeling of nothingness in that direction.
anyway congrats u deserved your ribbon.

This was actually taken from on the bridge... walking along the bridge towards Presidio, there's a lookout point at the base of the towers. This was shot from there, leaning outwards from the bridge. I actually would have liked more of an angle, but that would need me to be suspended over the water somehow :)...text

Thanks for the additional information. I know exactly where you took this now. Once again, great shot!! Seeing as how our foggy summer season is approaching, there should be more opportunities for fog shots of the bridge in the upcoming month and a half. Congrats!!!

Love it - I was desperate for fog when I was there but it was 100% clear all the time! You've taken a much-shot scene and made it look very different.

Oh this stuck out - oops I mean that in a good way - Welcome surprise after viewing metal photo after photo. Creative shot and unique. Like the tone and how it looks like it is suspended by . . .nothing or as it it leads to . . .infinity . . .eternity? Easy 10

My favorite image in this challenge. I just wish that serendipity had not captured that last tower. It would have maximized the fading off in the distance. Or, then again, maybe the composition requires it. A very evocative capture.

06/23/2005 04:40:37 PM
beautiful. it doesnt look like basic editation, as it is too surreal to be real, traces of clouds, vanishing point does vanish, light of course etc etc. if i were to find some con, i would not be sure about composition, but the picture is perfect anyway

i like the yellow cast you chose for this shot, and the angle where this was shot. the blur and softness at the far end of the bridge gives this picture a mysterious feel, where we guess as to where to bridge leads to. overall a very pleasing photo. this is the first photo i rated for this metal challenge and i cant believe i'm leaving a comment already. if all submissions are gonna be this good, i'm gonna have a hard time choosing my favourite, lol.I'm giving you a 9. would have been a 10 if the motorist and their heads didnt distract me so much.
