It's a varigated hosta. Not sure which variety.

wonderful image. I did not get a chance to vote this week, but this would have been very, very high on my list. very, very good 351 !!!

CC: I love this subject. Simply adore the patterns and colour and texture. Very dynamic and I like how you got close enough to fill beyond the edges of the frame with then non-focal point leaves. You've exposed it well, but it feels slightly flat - which could be this nasty monitor I'm looking at it on, or it could be slightly underexposed ? The overcast/ diffused lighting really brings out the features of the plant.

I wonder if a 45 degree rotation would move those brown patches of earth off center slightly and change how this feels ? It would be have been wonderful if the background could have been seamless and even lit slightly from behind to add some glow. Great shot.

Nice perspective on the challenge brilliant picture

Looks "painterly" already, but would love to experiment running this through a canvas filter or something anyway. Excellent abstract with elements of Escher!

very appropriate title. Certainly flows very well. Good luck. Jacko

It's a nice photo... the curves and colours are lovely, but I don't really like the way it seems so symmetric. It robs the photo of life. I'd prefer an angle with more depth, or maybe a narrower crop either horizontally or vertically.

I like the feel of the swirling caused by the leaves. This is very simple and effective. Nice shot.

Wonderful abstract view of this plant.

I always appreciate hosta leaves, but in real and in pictures. You gave them a nice, almost abstract here and there, treatment. Yet, there isn't any particular area in this shot that you emphasized and my eye is wandering around the picture plane and not quite knowing where it should rest. 6 Journey

This looks a lot like a painting with the sort of swirly brush stroke appearance of the leaves. The lighting is just a bit flat and I think you should've adjusted the framing slightly so that the swirly thing was at one of the thirds as opposed to dead center

I really like these hosta leaves - they really swirl! The greens are almost like they were painted on the leaves. Great composition for a busy image.

I love this image. I like how the plant leaves are swirling about an axis. The only thing I would change is making the photo a little more vibrant. I'm not sure if it's the lighting or exposure, but it seems just a tad dull.
