| This is such an effective shot! I see we have a favourite subject in common - and thank you for the lovely comment on my hummer (first comment I've received so far). I tend not to edit much either. Then again, I don't really know how to do advanced edits. I like the naturalness of your image; one can easily imagine the texture of the feathers. The light falling through the wings is beautiful, too. |

| Nice to see that you were wrong about not editing enough... Photography should be about the emotion and ability to tell the viewer something, not about mastering every nook and cranny of photoshop. Congrats... a great shot |

| Nice stop action photo! Just enough of a blur on the tip of the wings to show they are in motion, and everything else is frozen solid. And with such shallow DOF, the focus had to be perfect. Nice shot! |

| I love this photo. It's so interesting. You get a sense of the motion that was going on yet get to see the intensity of the bird's face. The red flowers on blurred green background works really well. It might need more cropping on the bottom edge. |

| Great capture! Having spent a couple of hours trying to capture some of these critters (using a hand held zoom with a fairly slow maximum aperture) I totally appreciate the crispness and composition of yours! The only negative for me is the quality/ colour of the light - it seems very flat and doesn't make the bird "sing" to me. |

Great capture.. what was your shutter speed ? you have frozen those wings !! I have tried that but most of the times I end up with shutter speeds around 200 or 400 and this doesn't freeze the wings..
I wonder how they will look with a little saturation bumped up background. Very well captured. 8 |

| Wonderful! And so difficult to capture too. Well done! My one nitpick would be the background. It's nicely out of focus, but too close to the bird's coloring to really allow the bird to stand out. Really a great photo though! |

| Great capture but it seems that either you needed a bit shorter shutterspeed or longer, this is just my opinion though but I would either like to see the wings completely frozen or blurred from motion. Also seems a bit flat, could use a contrast boost but I´ll say it again, great capture and I like it, I gave it a 7. |
