Interesting subject.

My, that door really stands out in constrast to what the rest of the building must look like. Very interesting.

very colorful.. I hope this is an untouched picture.

you know that song by smokey? Don't recall the title, but the chorus goes "I'll never get used to not living next door to alice..." I'll spare you the audience refrain on that one, but needless to say, many drunk college students would happily tell you. All this by way of useless comments, but I do like the colours of Alice's door. I wish the garbage can was not tipping over, its distracting. But I like the composition, gives me the feeling that i'm walking right up to the door.

This is awesome- I'd like to meet Alice!

Nice door.

Excellent capture! You have found some nice vibrant colors here, I really like this shot!

this is great! what a colorful person! she(?) even painted the trash can... and the stonework... but the door of course is outstanding... very well done technically as well. 9.

Very colourful indeed. My only suggestion is that you crop more of the dull cement on the bottom of the photo.

wow! fantastic. The lead in from the path finishes this off perfectly. Maybe a touch too much saturation though ? The stones and grass look as unnatural as everything else in this shot!

My favorite image of the week. Just fun to look at. Through color, you show me Alice's personality. In other words, you use color as a lens of sorts to communicate far more significant things. You show me both fantastic colors and you also show me their IMPORTANCE. Very nice work. 10

Cool find - this near you? :) Very colorful personality must live inside. I like how even the garbage can is bursting with colors, and the wall on the left.
04/09/2003 11:39:10 AM
This certainly meets the theme.
04/08/2003 06:18:11 PM
the door and trashscans don't go very well with the wall
04/08/2003 01:59:56 PM
nice job nice use of color
04/08/2003 11:31:30 AM
WOW! What a door!
04/08/2003 10:23:19 AM
Great door!...but it is the garbage can and wall reflecting the blue in the stone that really cinches the composition. Do you need all that concrete walk? Great color shot!

Lot of work went into painting this door. Great appeal and emotion in the face and eyes, fine work indeed. The focus is great, nice and sharp. Overall quality is excellent, thank you for sharing your work with us.

Not a ho-hum home!
04/07/2003 06:22:19 PM
How cool is that! Even the rock wall is colorfull. Should have zoomed in a little more leaving only about 2/3rds of the garbage can and less of the walkway... and maybe more of the wall above the door. Great shot. 8.

Color,texture,contrast....this has lots going for it. Well done
04/07/2003 01:14:14 PM
You have shot this before.<I've seen it somewhere anyway. It's a cool door and she must be a hoot!!!!!!! lol
04/07/2003 12:15:17 PM
Cool door. Nice shot.
04/07/2003 10:20:36 AM
A slightly tighter crop would probably make this a stronger composition. I like it a lot though, still a high scorer. -danny
