Well my first dog photo submitted to DPC. I'm sure I'll get blasted for it.

My sister's dog Tashy. She was actually waiting for the cat to come out of hiding. It never happened. LOL!

I thought this image really portrayed the feeling a dog must have while waiting for the return of their "master". He says: "You stay there, I'll be right back", but will they ever really come back? Must drive dogs crazy.
Taken using my 70-200 F4 L @ 104mm, in RAW mode. Converted as Tiff file using EVU and corrected WB to tungsten.

In PS7, Sharpen, slight crop, converted to greyscale then to quadtone, brightness, levels, outer dark edge, resize, more USM, save for web.

How the heck do you get your dog to look the other way when you've got a camera in your hands? Mine would be all over me!
A lovely shot, captures the challenge, and that special loyalty that a dog has, perfectly. Wonderfully sharp with an excellent use of DoF.

I like the consept, kinda seems like there is something missing, i see the lonley just not the seperation. But i can see what your idea was and i'd say its a eight.

If the floor and the arm of the chair were not so blown out I think it would have been a 10 for sure. Beautiful work
