Nice green grass, and great angle, witht he ball coming up just above the horizon. Great advertisement! Nice attention to detail, choosing the number '1' ball. My only complaint is the intrusion by the hill above the horizontal line on the left.
05/12/2002 10:21:00 PM
Clever, but a little too much of a snapshot for me.
05/12/2002 09:55:00 PM
Awesome, sharp focus and vibrant colors.
05/12/2002 08:40:00 PM
Nice shot. I wish the little green patch on the left was not there, and that it was a flat skyline. Otherwise, nice lighting/angle.
05/12/2002 07:29:00 PM
beautiful ad!! Great job.
05/12/2002 06:09:00 PM
Heven't I seen this before? Some magazone somewher or something like that? Good job.
05/12/2002 02:43:00 PM
Nice shot. Amazing how effective simplicity can be at times.
05/11/2002 08:32:00 PM
great shot looks just like an ad
05/11/2002 03:12:00 PM
Very good photo!
05/11/2002 01:24:00 PM
I might have put it on a tee shoved almost all the way into the ground to provide a hint of a pedestal effect.
05/10/2002 04:59:00 PM
says it all doesn't it
05/10/2002 03:07:00 PM
Fabulous....the framing is spot on.
05/10/2002 02:34:00 PM
sharp as a pin, blue cast evident
05/10/2002 11:03:00 AM
Good shot
05/10/2002 04:30:00 AM
looks very professional
05/09/2002 03:19:00 PM
maybe if i liked golf I would like this better. picture lacks interest to me. i like the shadow and the position of the ball.
05/09/2002 04:17:00 AM
Nice. I'd have made it a vertical, as the right side in particular doesn't add much to the image and you'd have left some space for copy (if this were a real product shot for an add). Would have given the ball somewhere to go, as well. Just a guess, but was the original underexposed? There's a grayish cast overall , and lots of noise in the blue channel. Almost as if you'd tried to increase the brightness but couldn't go far enough because of the increased noise. If this isn't the case, I'd try shifting the white level to 250 or 245, and maybe raising the gamma to 1.10. Still quite good.

Nice detail, but the picture seems to have a bluish or greenish cast.
05/08/2002 05:17:00 PM
great macro , very sharp..
05/08/2002 03:10:00 PM
It needs something. Like being on a tee or a golf club coming down to strike it or something.
05/07/2002 10:39:00 PM
Great photo.
05/07/2002 09:24:00 PM
Love your shot. It looks very sharp. The only flaws I see are a slight red color cast on the top half of the ball (hope it is not just my monitor, it is color profiled though) and a loss of detail due to blown highlights in the upper right quadrant. I understand the difficulty of exposing in bright sunlight. Maybe the exposure would have been easier earlier in the morning or at the end of the day? Fine effort. I rate this photo high.

Very simple, uncluttered, powerful focus on the brand name. The horizon hits the ball in just the right place.
05/07/2002 06:00:00 PM
I really enjoy this pic. The contrast of grass and sky, along with the excellent detail of the golf ball really catch my eye. It makes me want to buy a sleeve of them and I don't even golf. Well done!
05/07/2002 04:07:00 PM
Excellent: 1) very professional looking, 2) Excellent colors, 3) I love golf. I give you a 10!
05/07/2002 05:17:00 AM
wonderful! Only thing I can see is a slight rise in the horizon (bushes?) on the LHS. Love the use of the ball's shadow too
05/07/2002 03:42:00 AM
yeah, really nice, lovely colours and light
05/07/2002 02:03:00 AM
Hmm... the composition of this photo is not very interesting. It would only catch my eye in a magazine or something because of the stark colours. I think having the light from the sun come in from the side, creating that shadow, makes it flatter and less interesting somehow, because the shading on the ball cuts it in some fairly straight lines. Having the light more from the front would give it nicer contours.
05/06/2002 07:24:00 PM
well shot.
05/06/2002 07:06:00 PM
Simple, but good. Could use color fix to make it "pop"
05/06/2002 03:11:00 PM
Great shot! This scores well with me. I don't know if it would have been much of an improvement but possibly a tighter crop? Nice job!
05/06/2002 02:16:00 PM
the trees (?) on the left spoil an almost perfect horizon. well executed macro shot.
05/06/2002 02:05:00 PM
good lighting, would be cool if it were on a tee
05/06/2002 12:50:00 PM
Nice work here.
Might of cropped the top more, but well done.
05/06/2002 11:46:00 AM
Good photo, good advert. (maybe if a golfer were in the background, swinging...) Photo 10 Advert 9 total 9
05/06/2002 10:41:00 AM
Nice idea, very good photo.
05/06/2002 09:47:00 AM
Great composition.
05/06/2002 07:57:00 AM
simple, effective. I like it.
05/06/2002 07:55:00 AM
Nice lighting
05/06/2002 06:47:00 AM
would have been cool if you had gotten a little bit lower to put the ball closer to the horizon. also that tree thing upper left is distracting. A fill flash would have filled in your shadow and more evenly lit your ball.
05/06/2002 05:27:00 AM
Looks like a 10 to me !

btw...can I have your camera? I'll be good to it:)
05/06/2002 01:02:00 AM
I can totally see this photo being in a magazine... They'd probably edit out the trees on the horizon in the upper left though :) This gets my top vote...
05/06/2002 04:26:00 PM
Excellent color and balance between sky and grass.
05/06/2002 03:59:00 PM
Nice, crisp focus. I would buy it and I don't even play golf.
05/06/2002 03:52:00 PM
nice dimples
05/06/2002 03:28:00 PM
You can be proud of this one! It is one of my top picks, and I couldn't suggest any improvement. Well Done.
