Why you put "helpful" only on good comments? :) |

Is it ok to use masking like this in a challenge? I'm not trying to DQ you or anything, I can only achieve this effect with contrast masking. I would love to learn how to do it right out of the camera. |

Really amazing processing -- I certainly wish I could do the same! |

This is a fantastic shot. I love the perspective, the clarity, the contrast and the strong receding lines that draw the viewer into the picture. |

Almost looks like a painting. I dont mind that there are soft points in this photo. I like the emotive effect you have achieved. Nice subtle detail in the wood grain, and the composition is brilliant! Well done! |

Nice warm/soft colors on this one, I can almost forgive the bland sky :). Did you use a soft filter? |

very well composed with the low camera angle - making good use of strong leading lines and interesting textures - good DoF throughout the shot although the white sky is less appealing. It does construct a triangle that encourages focus to the main bridge though, so I think it still works. I get the feeling that neatimage was used on this, to get the blurry but still sharp effect - not sure how much I really like that though I've started seeing it quite often. If it wasn't done using neatimage, I'd like to know how you processed the shot to get this effect. A good study of an old bridge. |

Nice photography of an old unused railroad bridge. I like the woody gran that I can see directly in front of the lens of the camera, but the rest of the photo seems completly out of focus. Is this soft focus? Looks terrible. . .you've ruined a good photograph. |

Hurrah for colour, at last. Is this a slightly wide-angle shot? Whatever, I love the effect. The DOF might be a little deep, or the focus is in the wrong place for me, or something. Maybe composition? I need to think about this a bit more ... 8 for now :-) |

A nice angle of view and the contrast in colour between the bridge and green foliage is nice too. |

Interesting angle and I like the earth colors too...I do wish the sky wasn't so blown out and also find the metal plate in the background to be distracting. |

Nice shot! I'm not certain what effect you used, but it really adds an almost surreal effect to the scene. |

I like this shot allot. I really like the point-of-view you used here. I assume you placed the camera on the ground for this shot. Usually I prefer sharper images but I really like the soft focus touch in this picture. Nice greens and I really like the leading lines here. Beautiful country side! Good luck with the challenge! |

The sky is way too bright, but theres not alot you can do with it except revisit the site when its less overcast. Excellent composition, perhaps a tad soft, and needs the near horizontal in sharper focus. |

Interesting perspective. Almost abstract, but it's still quite pleasing. This may have been good to just go black & white with a sepia the color of the wood. |

This is really gorgeous! How did you get such an awesome effect? It almost looks like a painting. Out of all of these amazing bridges, this is truly one of my favorites. It's amazing. |
