This was a very long and painstaking process. I don't want to know how many pictures I had to take of this. Unfortunately I had to do it in black and white because I was never able to get the colors exactly right.

Nice use of b&w, I think I've seen a commercial like this, anway it is a nice twist

This is just outstanding. I love the thought of the flatscreen as a window, and this is just such a cool picture. I wish it were color, though, so I could see the connections between all of the elements better.

he he :-)

Cool Idea. The contrast seems a little flat -- perhaps that's a monitor conflict (my machine vs yours)

Nice idea -- clever side-step of color-matching issues by going grayscale.

I could see Apple doing this. Very creative and well presented.

I like it. Very well exposed. Looks like it could have used a little more depth of field. Nice composition. Well done.

cannot tell what is advertised without the title---sorry

A great idea, and seems well executed. B/W is a very odd choice here, though. The subject doesn't have the kind of tonal range that makes an interesting monochrome, and, since your product is a monitor, the missing color is a big negative.

Awesome! I like that and your title. Works well and can even be an apple add.

very clever and pretty well executed

But what is it selling, the brand? It is really well done and imaginative.

interesting still life

B&W doesn't work very well with this picture...
05/07/2002 04:20:00 PM
Hahahaa.. LOL. Wonderful spoof!
05/07/2002 01:44:00 PM
Cute, but what are you selling?
05/07/2002 10:53:00 AM
Very cool idea.. Wish this could have been more colorful..
05/07/2002 10:43:00 AM
good god I hope you didn't break that nice looking monitor just for the picture!!!!

I think I see the hand of a favorite photographer of mine in this one.

Well, which ever mystery artist did this one..brilliant. Even though I hate those fuggin Macs!!!

If this really is an image on the screen arranged with real books, this is a technical masterpiece! I'm wondering why it's in black and white...
05/06/2002 07:16:00 PM
Very creative, but does not encourage me to buy anything.
05/06/2002 02:49:00 PM
Is the B/W helping here?
05/06/2002 01:55:00 PM
Cute, good concept, but I am not buying.....(What are you selling? besides humor) Photo 10 Advert 4 (probably me) Creativity 9 total 7

although i am a fan of black and white, it would be more interesting in color in the case.
05/06/2002 01:28:00 PM
I don't get it.
05/06/2002 12:28:00 PM
Great idea and you did it well.
Levels need to be bumped up some or contrast.
Nice job.

This is a neat concept! I like it. What puzzles me on this one is why you chose black and white? Good job!
05/06/2002 08:00:00 AM
I think this might have been more appealling in color. Nice setup though
05/06/2002 07:19:00 AM
funny pic.

Interestly little idea here. Although as for selling me a MAC, this won't do it. :)
