i like this shot. however it would be nicer if the top of the oak would break through the borderline of the mountain or if it would not do so. the picture above is neither so nor so...

Congratulations on your 2nd ribbon! It was such a close finish and I'm glad we can share the top 3! This was one of my favorite challenges in both submitting and voting. As I said, I voted this a 10 and it was one of my top picks for this challenge. I can't wait to see more amazing outdoor shots from you. Congrats!

Beautiful shot. I feel the leading lines in this photo are subtle, yet effective. Congrats on the finish!

The sky appears a little blown out but an otherwise excellent shot.

Nice how the crack in the ground carries the eyer from the lower left corner to the trees. The branch in the lower right also play's a role by pointing to the upper left. Fun how the upper part of the tree works with the line of the hill.
Great color.
I might have cut off a little bit from the left. Good photo.

Very pretty area! great DOF. Maybe a little different angle to have the tree in the bottom left third and the hill stretching out of the right side, with the "creek" basically bisecting the two

Beautiful location....

Good shot, but I wonder if you could have composed this differently, with the tree not centered in the frame. Good strong leading lines, excellent color and exposure.

This is my favorite shot so far. I love the colors, textures and I like how the leading line is bent up. vote 10!

This is my favorite in this challenge! 10 ... The only thing that would make this photo greater is a more saturated sky blue color.

Very nice. I like your leading line. The crooked creek takes me right to the tree. I like the accent of the curved hill in the backround. Good job.

I'm not a member yet so I can't vote on this challenge. If I could you'de be getting a 10. I looked at all the other pictures and this is the only comment I'm giving. If you don't win I'll shit myself! Great Job. This might be my favorite picture I've seen yet on here. I must remember to come back and mark it as a favorite on Sunday.

Pretty hill. I would have put the big tree more to the left rather than so centered. My eye goes to the line of the hill and it does not bring me back to the tree. The gulley does go to the tree, but I see the tree first and then notice the foreground.

Wow great photo. Scoring this one high just for the feeling it gave me. I also feel it meets the challenge. A little darker sky would have put this over the top. Great job!!

Kinda looks like the pic from 6 feet under on HBO

something about this really gets me! at first i thought the tree was too centered--but the more i look, the more i love it! the rolling hill in the background, the contrast of tree against the green--the natural line of the creek or ditch--i love it! the only thing i might have attempted differently is to adjust the green and blue levels to bring out the sky a little more, but that is just me! great work!

This is one of my three favourite photos for this challenge. You captured it very well, the greens looks so crisp and your line is leading me right to the tree in the middle. You have met the challenge head on here. This photo kind of reminds me of home, we have exactly the same kind of countryside in New Zealand!

In this shot, I see more than one leading line all pointing to the trees which is great for the challenge. The composition is also very excellent along with a very colorful vibrant shot. 10! - xertion

The tree seems a little too centered here, but I still love the shot. I like the way the ravine leads to the tree, and the curves of the hill are a great addition.

That oak tree looks familiar, Dick, and perhaps the three head of cattle. Nice sharp photograph. The hills do look pretty in green this time of year.

excellent shot... the ditch leads nicely to the tree in this photo... this could be even stronger if the leading line came in from an angle maybe... great work :) - setzler

Ok, I love this, the green grass the crack. The only thing I can think of to make it better would be a bluer sky. But this is awesome, I can't wait to find out where this was taken because I'd like to visit. It almost seems like a backdrop from a movie or something. Love it!!
