By chance I saw these 2 fawns in my neighbors backyard. I ran inside and grabbed my camera. Luckily they were still wandering around and didn't see me. The mother was not around but probably not too far away.

The monochrome processing is an inspired choice for this one. It really makes this about the "found moment" and lands it more in the realm of sentimental mood piece rather than "amazing wildlife shot" (even though it definitely is that, too). Congrats!

totally magic moment and photograph Larry .. its so emotive and special .
what a miracle you saw these two and were able to get such a wonderful image ..
many many congratulations on the ribbon .. so well deserving .. :)
oh .. btw .. wouldnt it have been extra special to have a bird perching on the back of one of those fawns .. how birds do .. that would be combining two of your special talents in one shot . !! .. :)
