 It won't be long before the egrets begin to head south. They arrive in the Spring and enjoy the salt ponds near our home all summer. This summer, there were a large number that could be seen most mornings, often numbering over 20 at a time.

When the challenge was announced I knew immediately the likely subjects for my entry. However, I could not have imagined the these two would pose so perfectly as they got ready to take off.

I appreciate the input of my team in helping me select the subtle editing to really highlight the birds against the marsh grasses. Special thanks to MargaretNet who has provided some awesome personal tutorials on better use of Lightroom. I truly appreciate the time she has taken to get my game up!
