 went out hoping i'd get something for this challenge ..
i get anxious to ask strangers if i can photograph them or taking candid shots on the street ..

was at derks .. where they know me .. they are the local farm and produce supplier ..

i told them i enter photographic challenges .. and asked if could i take something for the ppl at work challenge ..

they were making heaps of suggestions and made me feel very at ease .. they said i should get a photo of Grace throwing bails of hay .. which i did .. i also got photos of her at the counter on the phone ..

driving home there was a huge lot of bushfire smoke in the distance and i began to worry .. a bit of ptsd after the bushfires in 2019 .. but there wasnt any wind .. so i relaxed ..

just about to drive into my road but felt i should check out the smoke ..

a couple of km's from my home there was hazard reduction going on .. helicopter above .. ppl on the ground ..
i wanted to get closer but they wouldnt let me for safety reasons .. although there wasnt really any danger .. ..

anyway .. i was really happy to get the shots i did .. both at derks and at the fire ..

but this one was by far the best one to enter ..

getting out there and facing my fears was an excellent experience ..

Congratulations on this blue. The perfect image for this challenge. Beautiful work, you have an amazing eye for B/W images and you have an amazing approach for processing them. I love the light/haze in the background of this image as well as the moment of their work.
