This is a beautiful photo. I love the firey orange and the way the cloud is covering the sun. Keep shooting.

Did yu mean to say that you didn't get the colors that you wanted? Because I really like the colors due to the underexposure. Exposure is just a general term anyway and in regards to this particular shot you have actually properly exposed it.

What I am having a little trouble with is how symmetrical it is compositionally but not visually. In that I mean that the physical elements such as the tree and the sun are very balanced but in regards to the tonal values the sun has much more weight and therefore is too heavy on the right side. I think it would have been more pproperly balanced if you had framed it a little more to the right to allow more space for the sun and a little less for the tree. This would clearly make the sun the main focal point with the tree in a supporting roll.

Like I said, the exposure seems very good to me. I like the way the tree mysteriously blends into the dark landscape not drawing too much attention away from the sun. I enjoy the real subtle highlights to some of the shapes on the land. They perk my interest and make me start to wonder exactly what they are and where this beautiful place is.

It is a simple image and a very calming and pleasing one. It meets the challenge well and apppears to be well executed with vibrant natural colors and values with clean details. Nice job.

Neat colours. I think the sun is very overpowering for a stock photo. As a free study image, it's lovely. I like the way the tree is silhouetted, although a lot of the foreground objects are a bit too dark to be made out, and thus confusing.

This looks a lot like one of my entries. If you get a minute go to my profile and see. awesome colors, but I think a little more exposure for the tree and the background would've improved it.

This is a great shot, I think I like it more without the blown out sun. The wonderful old oak tree needs to be the main topic. I say that because of the near perfect simitry of the tree's bare limbs against the orange sky. The sun draws me away from the tree and then burns me. 7

This is very nice. I think a lower angle would have improved the composition a bit, showing a silhouette of the tree more and getting rid of the wasted space at the bottom.

Very beautiful! Wish I was able to see just a tiny bit more of the tree, but overall, definitely one of my favorites.

The tree blends into the horizon too much.

very nice... the only thing I would do different is shoot from a lower angle looking up so more of the tree top is captured

Wow - love it.

Good shot, my only negative observation is the horizon running through the tree detracts slightly from what is otherwise a beautiful pic.

I like the counterpoint of the sun and the tree. Since the lower portion doesn't do much, maybe you could edit out the lower portion including the headlights. ALso, the horizon is not level - or is that some clouds?

veyr nice sunset... it's hard to really tell, but it appears that the horizon is not level in this shot. In a shot like this, i believe the horizon may need to be a little lower in the frame to remove some of the void.. - setzler

Oh my gosh is this REAL?! It's glorious, and I'm so glad you caught it! What a great photo for a travel brochure!

A little too much saturation here, the top of the tree appears to grow out of the horizon, and the reds are just too blindingly red.
