 an absolutely fascinating article about the leaf curling spider .. :)


i did hesitate to enter this as i felt i'd get marked down because its not a human house .. but seeing it did satisfy the challenge requirements .. i decided to enter it anyway ..

i tried to get one of these leaf-curling spider homes on maybe three different days .. just that it was usually windy and because the spider's home is suspended on his web it moved around a lot .. so difficult to get what i wanted in focus ..

usually the spider is inside the leaf with just his legs hanging out .. waiting for a tasty treat to walk by ..
but this day the spider came out .. what an awesome moment for me ..

i thought someone might enter a dog house or something other than a human abode in this challenge .. would have been good to see other ppl stepping out of what they felt was 'acceptable' to the voters ..

15 mins to rollover ..
in the last day this went from 6.7 to 6.4 ..
and i just got a vote of 4 .. which took me from 6.5000 to 6.4324 .. interesting timing .. :(
