I know that others have done this particular image. That’s why I had to go see the place myself. eastern penitentiary is a fascinating place!! This was seven years ago, now, but I never entered this iconic shot in a challenge. Since it’s an old photo, I couldn’t try a different angle, etc., but I did my best to try to give the processing the attention it deserved.

I know it’s a trite shot for those who have experienced it before. But I still remember the magic the first time I saw it captured by someone else on dpc. All I can hope is that my shot brought the same excitement to someone else. And while I wish I had played around with more angles at the time, I’m still glad to have the shot. And I think I may just have to include it in my next art show. (i’ve tried three, so far)

as a thumb this one jumped out at me from the entire challenge photos ..
especially with your title .. its a brilliant image .. loving the light .. and finding such a place to photograph would have been a photographer's dream ..
now i'll have to vote on all the photos in the challenge just so this can get my vote .. which will be really good btw .. !! .. :)
