i've noticed that photos of kids looking serious and almost sad seem to go well in dpc .. so i think Georgia nailed it ..

lucky I got a photo of the spider .. was a last minute addition .... it helped make this more than just a portrait .. gave it a bit of an edge …

so I’ll be extremely interested to see if ppl notice the spider .. if they don’t then they they’re not spending enough time on our photos when voting .. just saying ..!!.. ;)

I was going to title it ‘pets come in all shapes and sizes’ or ‘georgia plus one’ .. so that ppl would find the spider and appreciate this more .. but then I thought I’ll just relinquish any ‘control’ and see what happens ..

btw .. I’ve noticed that the longer I look at a photo the more I see … and the more I appreciate .. many times something that I missed on a quick view becomes apparent when I look a bit longer .. and often those are the things that take the photo to another level ..
for me that happens a lot ..

background 4 photos of ripples in the creek and one of trees ..

was so excited for this photo ..
half an hour before rollover - 7.2917 ..
which meant it would just make it onto my profile page .. :)
then i got a 4 and it dropped to 7.1600 ..
bummer .. might have been the spider .. !! .. :(

I never got past her eyes and did not notice the spider. It is a beautiful image of Georgia. Congrats on the red

Congratulations, Roz. This makes me think of the Addams family. Brilliant portrait. Not only does the spider add to the mood but it's kind of like adding your signature!

Finishing off for the year very nicely indeed, what a stunning portrait, and then I just noticed the spider.

Fine black and white image of this lovely, self-possessed girl. Her haphazard strands of hair falling over her face hints at a wildness and freedom within. As does the spider on her shoulder. Good choice of background, gently setting off the color and texture of her shirt. The center is well held.

very serious looking face, haunting look to this, seems mischievous, like the choices you made in processing and cropping
