 Ok how hard is it to arrange a still life! This took a whole afternoon to put together. Hats off to you Mary Anne you make it look effortless. Looking at it now though I feel there may be too much going on..

As a study, the colors, the textures and lighting work well. The separate elements do not seem to work together as a whole. The tilted lemon half atop the left hand vase feels out of place, even if it was meant to be whimsical. You certainly shoot a handsome still life, but more cohesiveness, harmony and planning will garner much appreciation.

This is a very well done still life. The lighting is captured well and the objects and colors appealing. I am noIt fond of the lemons, as they look out of place and the color too bright. I also might have left out the pestle, but that is just me. One of my favorites of the challenge.

That's a wooden shoe insert thingy, isn't it? And it's pointy! I've never seen one like that. Random thing to put with these other objects, but fascinating nonetheless. Nice, soft light.

This certainly feels like a Mary Ann inspired image!

It's a bit too much for me... I'd have not added the lemons or the white things on teh left, I think. But, I'm no expert, for sure! :D

I love the grays and browns and that touch of green working together so comfortably.
